世界青年の船について①「参加してきました！」 "Ship for World Youth Leaders"① "I joined the program!"
皆さんは内閣府の青年国際交流事業というものがあるのを知っていますか？
ボクは今年の1月末から3月初めまでそのうちの一つ、「世界青年の船」に参加してきました！
Do you know the international youth exchange programs which are implemented by Japanese Cabinet Office?
I participated in one of the program, "Ship for World Youth Leaders" from the end of this January to the beginning of March!
「世界青年の船」は1967年、当時青年が自力で海外に行くことが困難であったために政府が主体となって青年を海外派遣することが目的で実施され始めました。
"Ship for World Youth Leaders" has been implemented by Japanese government since 1967.
This is because that was difficult for youth to go abroad by themselvs as that time.
その後幾度かの見直しが行われ、現在に至っております。
なお、正式名称は次世代グローバルリーダー事業「Ship for World Youth Leaders」といい（長いですね汗）、ボクら参加青年は「SWY」(『すわい』と発音）と呼んでいます。
The program has been improved several times and it became the current situation.
The official name is Next Generation Global Leaders Program "Ship for World Youth Leaders." (It's very long, right?)
We participants call the program as "SWY"( the pronounce is Suwai).
この事業では三井商船さんのにっぽん丸というクルーズ船で、日本人参加青年約120名と外国参加青年約120名が1ヶ月以上共に共に過ごします。
In this program, about 120 Japanese Youth Participants and also about 120 Overseas Youth Participants spend time together for more than one month in Nippon-maru, a cruise ship made by MItsui O.S.K.Lines.
7階建ての大きな船です。
これを貸切ですよ！笑
船内の施設もすごいのですが、それはまた別の投稿でお話します。
The big ship is 7 stories high.
We reserved this ship lol !
The equipments inside the ship were great.
I will write about them on another occasion.
次回はこの事業の目的や概要についてお話しようと思います。
